As a hybrid software program designed to facilitate both quantitative and qualitative analyses of natural language, Raven’s Eye accommodates research from a variety of perspectives and methodological approaches. In this section, we provide a detailed description of conducting a Quantitative Phenomenology with Raven’s Eye, because this method informs the basic function and structure of Raven’s Eye. Along the way, we describe some of the specific calculations utilized by Raven’s Eye, and note opportunities for conducting extended and alternative quantitative and qualitative analyses.
